ISAs (Individual Savings Accounts) offer a good way to save no matter what your financial goals are.

Anyone who is resident in the UK and over 18 can invest in an ISA up to the current £7000 maximum limit each tax year. The main benefits for investors are easy access to their money and tax-free returns, as income generated by ISA savings and investments is free from personal UK Income and Capital Gains Tax.

There are two types available – a Maxi ISA or a Mini ISA. The current limits for each are £7,000 and £4,000 respectively. You may only invest in one Maxi or two Mini ISAs( 1 cash and 1 stocks and shares) in a single financial year.
